Interlocking has become a part of life at the University of Chicago Lab School, living out its interactive potential. Students, staff, and visitors use the piece as a place to sit and talk, even sometimes using the gaps in the circular structure as goal posts for a game called "Cirlcle Soccer." the title, Interlocking, represents not only the physical capabilities and structure of the piece, but also captures the connections made by people encouraged by the sculpture.
Description
Interlocking, intended to be an interactive bench, is made from three curved pieces and takes the form of a circular structure.
